Co-opportunity VITA Outreach 2009

November 30th, 2009

Would you like to assist low to moderate income working families gain the knowledge to increase their income, earnings, and assets? Co-opportunity, a non-profit located in Hartford, works to make stable financial futures happen for our clients every day and we could really use your expertise, or simply your drive to help others to make what we do that much better. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities including the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Campaign. This past season, we served over 5,000 tax payers in the Hartford area and brought back $12 million in refunds and credits for the families that we serve. Volunteers made these results a reality!

You could become an IRS certified tax preparer, greeter, intake specialist, ensure quality control, or promote the various wealth building opportunities available through our coalition. We provide FREE training to take part in any of these rewarding volunteer positions, so no experience is necessary and your commitment is just 1 four hour shift per week during the tax season. Join us, have FUN and give working families the tools they need to build bright financial futures.

Training dates are available beginning November 30th. Tax season is right around the corner, so for more information or to sign up for training today please contact Laura O’Keefe at (860) 236-3617 ext 113 or at laurao@co-opportunity.org.
